Orphan Docker containers.

In running the “up” Docker command at about 1:20 into the video, I got a warning about “Found orphan containers …”  I noticed that you got the same warning and ignored it.  What are the ramifications of leaving the orphan containers or removing them?

Hi Ben,

There aren’t any ramifications for orphan containers – just that they take up space on your computer. Orphaned containers are basically containers you used previously, but you deleted the dependencies to them so you can’t use them anymore, but they are still present on your computer.

Docker has a way to prune and remove all orphaned containers to have a cleaner environment. You can read about it here: https://docs.docker.com/config/pruning/

I would be happy if I had this error then I can not even run the docker. I have Windows and the site – https://education.github.com/pack says that if you have Windows, then do a docker -[ it is a bad idea. What do you think about think?Help me to do docker. Thanx.
